Last Day in Melbourne

27/02/08 - Had an awesome last day in Melbourne, sad to leave though! Made an early start after a free breakfast, and headed over to the Melbourne Museum, was pretty cool and got free student entry! Although some bloke (even though I told him we were from London) was convinced we were from the Netherlands and had lovely accents and spoke better english than the english!? After a few hours we decided we'd try the Lonely Planet's suggested walk of the Botanic Gardens and Kings Domain. We got the FREEE tourist shuttle to the start, good way to see bits of the city you don't necessarily find on foot! We started just over the bridge from Federation square and from the beginnning knew it would be interesting.. the instructions were a little less than clear! Managed most of it though, walking past Goverment house, into the Botanic Gardens, past the floral clock, the shrine of remeberance and ended up spending 1/2 hour in the National Gallery of Victoria. We ended our last day fantastically at Victoria Markets Suzuki Night Bazaar! Was an amazing atmosphere, so much food, stalls, live music and loads of people! An excellent end to 3 weeks in Australia!
