Today we made the pilgrimage to the home of England's (and my) favourite Australian Soap Neighbours! Got picked up verrry early (disappointingly not in the neighbours bus) and set off to Ramsay Street! On the way we stopped off at Erinsborough High (which is actually a school for children who can't speak, read or write English so apparently they don't really know why people keep visiting!) Took a few pictures outside there which was cool too! On the way, got lots of info from the tour guide, so just to spoil it for you.. Todie and Steph don't get married and Harold is leaving for good soon! Stopped outside the stuydioes on the way to Ramsay Street too! The street though is suprisingly tiny! There's only about 6 houses in the street, saw Paul Robinsons, Harolds, Parkers(Timmons and Scullys before that) The house of trouser and now Stephs house! Took pics with the sign and outside all the houses! Then we went off to meet a Neighbours star.. and we got Max Hoyland! was very exciting and he was such a nice guy, got photos and he signed things for us- we also had a discussion about trams and he told me how i could get tram information :-s Definitely worth going on!
Spent the rest of the day walking around the quirky Brunswick Street, loads of quirky and alternative shops with arty things in, all so tempting! The whole road was so interesting and colourful as well.
Finally in the eveining came the Neighbours night in StKilda and again.. was amazing! Got there at 6:15 but nonoe of the stars came out until about 8, and there was Max Hoyland again, Marco (Carmella's bloke), Rebecca (Paul Robinsons love interest) and Karl Kennedy! oh and Dillon Timmons popped in to do a boyband thing which was awesome! Trivia was next which we did with a buy who reminded me so mo much of Peter Kay and his friend and a group we were on the tour with, as well as that, the Neighbours people came round so we could get photos with them which was cool- which security people making sure they saw everyone! At the end Karl played with his band 'The Waiting room' and we were right at the front! ahhh! and he sang at me.. which was slightly frightening but a new claim to fame!
