After another restless night in Tokyo.. it was time to get up and leave Sakura Hostel which I had grown to love over the 3 days we were there! Thought we'd do a bit more exploring of Asakusa. So.. we went to the Asahi beer building (strange yellow flame on its side on the top!), had some hot sake from the market, tackled the post office and sending of things and wandered around the streets in the snow for the last time!
We decided (as it was so cold and snowing!) that we'd head to the airport early, and lucky we did, we got put on an earlier flight which wasn't stopping at Cairns on the way to Sydney! Thank you nice lady! Although we had 2 seats in the middle of 4, which equaled no sleep and being very uncomfortable! One highlight however, was as we came into land, you could see Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House- for real!
9 hours and 20 minutes later we arrived in Sydney! So nice and warm and a nice change! We had a jet-lagged tired walk around Darling Harbour this morning before it started to chuck it down with rain! Found loads of things to do around there, including massive IMAX cinema, Wildlife place, Aquarium, Chinese Garden and shopping! Got to do a bit of planning still to sort out what to do with the rest of our days in Sydney (weather depending!)
Right.. off to see if our room is finally ready!
