Last few days of Sydney!

Wow, this seems such a long time ago now, but here goes!
11/02/08 SUCH a nice day today, blue skies and no sign of big grey clouds, so off we went to Bondi Beach on the 380 bus with no idea where we were really going! Bondi was beautiful, white sands, quite a choppy sea, but we had a paddle anyway and a sunbathe.. or maybe a sunburn i should call that! :-s Had a wander along the sea front too, and got an ice cream and a sit down.. you may think this is a safe thing to do, but apprently not, because as i was sitting there a seagull decided it would be fun to fly over me and poo on my shoulder.. mm attractive! Met up with Mel (friend of Matt's) who was also in Australia, had a chat and a drink, was cool to compare where we'd been and what to do! was really nice to see her! When we got back, we booked our bus down the coast, a bargain at $65!

12/02/08 Decided on the boat cruise to Taronga zoo today.. where, while waiting for the bus i discivered that a lasy also at the harbour was holding a purse the same as my purse, when she asked if i was Amy, i realised that was infact my purse and I'd lost it! whoops! Nice lady for finding me! Was a lovely cruise to Taronge into Circuar quay under Sydney Harbour bridge and past the Opera House, where we found out it costs $4000 an hour to dock a boat there, and that the QE2 is coming in a fortnight and it can't get under the bridge so it's going to Darkling Harbour! When we got to the zoo it almost seemed like it was on an island! saw lots of animals including more Koalas! suddenly.. the rain came, a lot of it.. so off home we went!

13/02/08 DInd't do anawful lot today, settled on a route down the coast and booked all our hostels, first stop Wollongong then Bateman's Bay, onto Merimbula, Phillip Island and Finally Melbourne! Went to the Art Gallery of NSW today as well, lots of cool stuff and aboriginal stuff too!

14/02/08 Finally checked out of BASE Sydney today, bus wasn't leaving until 3:20 so we went to look around the Chinese Garden of Friendship on Darling Harbour, as there's ALOT of Chiese History in Australia. Then.. off to Wollongong it was and Bye Bye Sydney!
