Meriumbula is beautiful! seems so much nicer than the last 2 places (even though they were nice too!) Also had a fantastic drive there from Batman's Bay across proper rural Aussie countryside ansd past a Cheeeese factory in the hills! Got there quite late so didn't see much tonight.
Tues 19th- First proper day in merimbula, was woken by the Lorakeets, who had arrived at about 9 outide the laundry room, they were so tame and I could've fed them if i'd got up earlier, but they flew away after they realised I had no food for them! Today we walked 1 1/2 hours down the beach to Pambula to where Betty from the YHA promised we'd see wild Kangaroos! Merimbula beach was a perfect beach, clear water, white sands (voted one the whitest apparently!) and beautiful views all around! Definitely worth the trek though.. the Kangaroos were amazing! They were all lazing around the shade or munching! was amazing to be that close and not at a zoo!Could have watched them all day bouncing around and bizarrely using their tails to walk! Went for a swim in the sea when we got back too! Awesome day! :-)
